Hidden truth of the Moon card

Ive always loved the Moon. Not just the tarot card but the actual moon itself. i am one of those people who make myself stay awake to see the special moon. Drive around looking in my pajamas with curlers in my hair on the nights I cant find it in my back yard. When I was a kid i loved the phrase...ask the man in the moon. Ive asked that man so many questions over the years i feel we are definitely on a first name basis.

Then when I got older and started to study Tarot it sadden me to learn he was a "no" card. Often associated with lies and deception. I felt all the answers he had given me were going down the drain. Along with my faith and admiration i had in him.

It was a while before I realized the lies and deception associated with the Moon are the lies we tell ourselves. The truths we hide from ourselves because we fear to face them. the Moon card is a reminder to face those fears to see those truths we have kept hidden.

In the card the Moon is brightening that scary road ahead. The two pillars are the balance of negative and positive reminding us we are somewhere in the middle. The dog on one side and wolf on the other are our docile and feral side. Many see us as the crab coming out of the water and venturing down the winding road being illuminated by the Moon.

the Moon is lighting the way for us to face our fears. To see our anxiety. He is only partially lighting the path because we must use our intuition to clearly see what lies ahead. So no the Moon is not a lie he is not a deception. He is the light forcing us to face to lies we tell ourselves. He is pushing us to see the illusions we have created to hide the things we dint want to deal with.

He is a no card because now is not the time to make big changes. its not the time to trust those around us. Its time to heal the pain we have been running from. Face the truths we have been hiding deep inside. A time to learn to trust our own intuition.

Yes i will still chase the Moon. i will still ask advice from the man in the moon..But now i know the answers I thought he was giving me is just my own intuition shining through. hes forcing me to see the truths i knew all along.
